Words of Knowledge
It was a Wednesday night at the Student Ministry in Moberly, MO when we were in the middle of worship with the young people. The presence of God was extremely thick in the sanctuary where the young people stood with their hands held high. As I stood to the side and observed His children worshipping as I often do, a word came into my thoughts. I didn't think much of it at first because the word that I had just thought about was so random, that it didn't make sense in a setting that we were in. I thought to myself as I heard the word "Cesar Salad" that I must be hungry!
As we continued to worship, I told the Lord that I want to be instantly obedient at all times and that if this word was from Him then I needed more direction; but I also told the devil that if this word was a distraction from him, then shut up!
After I had prayed this, I received another word (not audibly) in my thoughts. The word this time was not a food product to go along with the Cesar salad. It was not dressing, cheese or croutons by any means. The word I received was "Suicide". I thought to myself and told God, this is a crazy mixture but I will go for it.
I interrupted the worship set and asked everyone, "who today ate Cesar salad and also had the thoughts of suicide?" Five young people raised their hands, and as they did they came to the altar weeping and crying out to God to set them free. Amen.
We can accomplish more with one word from God in one moment, then thousands of our own words in ten years.
